At the snapshot date of 5th April 2017 the difference between average male and female hourly rates of pay was:
Mean – 10%
Median – 9.5%
The ratio of males and females in the lower pay grades is 45/55 rising to 79/21 in the higher grades.
The overall gender pay gap results from more males than women in senior roles. We are confident we have procedures to ensure males and females are paid the same rates of pay for performing similar roles.
